.....My connection with this family is with David Douglas Israel. He married
my Great Aunt, Mamie Agnes Harris,b.October 22, 1891, d. July 29, 1971.
I don't have the death date for David (we called him Uncle D.D.). He died
in Jacksonville, Fl. and was a past president of the Barnett Banks in Florida.
Uncle D.D. and Mamie Agnes (Auntee, we called her) were married on June
9, 1920. They lived in Jacksonville on Ingleside Avenue. We would visit
them during the summers that Auntee didn't come to Crawford County. Best
I remember, Auntee and Uncle D.D. are buried at Smithville Cemetery in
Lee Co., GA.
