The Monroe Family John McNeal Monroe and His wife Ida Carolyn Gentry lived on a farm at the intersection of Brady and Holman road. He was a decendant of origianal Scottish settlers of the Cape Fear river valley in NC (1730s) and she was the decendant of one of two British soldiers sent to put down an American insurrection.
